Ever since the financial crisis, credit institutions within European borders have been facing increasing regulatory pressures at almost every level of their operations. More than just restrictions on operations, regulations impact the way remuneration is to be delivered to the human capital of institutions. With the introduction of a vast regulatory framework (i.e. CRD IV, AIFMD, UCITS V, Mifid II, Solvency II) the European Union aimed at decreasing excessive and imprudent risk taking, within the financial market, driven by inappropriate remuneration practices.
Subsequently, the session shall provide you with an overview of (i) the legal and regulatory framework on remuneration across the different industries and (ii) potential future developments, including Brexit implications.
